You don’t have to go to Africa to find people struggling for food, clothes and other basic necessities. Suffering is right across the street. There are places in Lexington where parents cannot afford to feed their children. There are places in Lexington where gang life seems like the only way out of poverty. There are places in Lexington where women are too afraid of what their husbands will do to them to tell anyone that they were raped.
We want to bring some light into these places and show the community of Lexington some of the love that God has showed us. We are not perfect, nor are we arrogant enough to think that we can drastically change the community overnight. However, we do believe that it is our calling as Christians to reach out to the human beings around us in any way we can. Please join us in community service and show God’s love to the people around us.
