2nd Floor

• Unplug all space heaters and blow out all candles.
• Make sure the fireplace is off (flip switch). Pilot light will still be on.
• Make sure all windows are closed.
• Take out trash bags with food inside.
• Turn the thermostat to the appropriate nighttime level (see below). Thermostat is next to David’s office.
• (Warm months – set to Cool and 75 degrees.)
• (Cold months – set to Heat and 65 degrees.)
• Turn off all lights and any used tech equipment (such as tvs, speakers, etc)

Basement

• Take out trash bags with food inside.
• Turn the thermostat to the appropriate nighttime level (see below). Thermostat is in the main room next to the elevator area.
• (Warm months – set to Cool and 75 degrees.)
• (Cold months – set to Heat and 65 degrees.)
• Turn off all lights and any used tech equipment (such as tvs, speakers, etc)
• Lock exterior door by the residence (check by pushing on the door)

1st Floor

• Check stovetops (both kitchens), ovens and coffee makers to ensure they are all off.
• Unplug all space heaters and blow out all candles.
• Make sure the fireplace is off (flip switch). Pilot light will still be on.
• Take out trash bags with food inside.
• Turn the thermostat to the appropriate nighttime level (see below). Thermostat across from the staff kitchen.
• (Warm months – set to Cool and 75 degrees.)
• (Cold months – set to Heat and 65 degrees.)
• Turn off all the lights (check bathrooms), except for the following: Front foyer lights, front porch lights, back porch lights
• Make sure all tech equipment is off
• Lock exterior doors (check by pushing on the door) and windows
• Front door (lock from inside)
• Pulling tight all other doors (back door by elevator, double black doors in family room, library door)
